Every child deserves a safe, loving home, and you're in a unique position to help make that happen. You already know what makes a great foster carer, because you talk to people like this every day. By recommending someone who'd be brilliant at fostering, you could help change a child's life for the better, and welcome a wonderful new foster carer into our community.

You don't need to be an expert to spot someone who'd be a wonderful foster carer. Often, it's the people already around you: patient, warm, reliable people with room in their home and their heart. They might be a friend, a neighbour, a former colleague, or someone in your community who's mentioned wanting to make a difference. If someone comes to mind while reading this, that's usually a good sign.

Once you've shared a listing and someone registers their interest, they'll be guided through the full process of becoming a new foster carer via your fostering service, with support every step of the way.

You'll earn points as they progress through the stages, right through to approval, so you're rewarded for helping, not just for a single introduction. Rest assured, every applicant goes through full assessment, training and vetting before they're approved. Your role is simply to open the door.
