Sending a notification and awarding points (optional) when your staff share the app with their colleagues is an easy way to boost app engagement and grow your pool of potential candidates.
The notification and points are awarded to the referrer when the new app user logs in to the app for the first time.
It’s super easy to set this up, and this guide will show you how.

💡Top Tip! To set up and edit point awards for sharing the app with a colleague, you will need to have 'manage account settings' permission on your account. Your Care Friends lead will be able to check your account permissions and make any changes required.
Step 1: From your dashboard, click on Automations to the left of the page:
Step 2: To the right of the action box, click the three-dot icon:
Step 3: Click view/edit Automation:
Step 4: Click the arrow at the top right to display the full page, then type in the number of points in the first box. To only send a notification, enter 0 in the points box:
Step 5: The title will be pre-populated. If you wish to edit this, simply click in the text box and make the edits as desired:
Step 6: The Message will also be pre-populated. If you wish to edit this, click in the text box and make the edits as desired:
Once done, simply click save at the bottom right of the screen, and any employee who refers a colleague to start using Care Friends will receive the notification and any points automatically when their colleague logs onto the app for the first time 🤩 :
And that's it! You have now set up the automation for sharing the app with a colleague!
