You can now create additional candidate screening questions for your candidates to complete when they express interest in a role 🤩.

Once created, these can be added to your jobs to enable you to ask for additional information and you can auto-reject those who are unsuitable for roles based on your current criteria.

❗Only users on the select plan and with manage account settings can add new screening questions - contact us at: [email protected] to find out more.

Step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Head to ‘Jobs’ on the left-hand navigation menu:

Step 2: Click Screening questions at the top:

Step 3: Click on +Add Question at the top of the page.

Just to add! Only users with manage account settings permissions can add a template:

Step 4: Click on the first box and enter the title of the question you wish to ask, followed by a short description in the label box. The label is seen when selecting the questions for a job, so this should be super clear to allow other users to know which one to select (If you are going to set up auto-rejection based on the candidates response then we would advise including this in the label):

Step 5: Select a Yes/No, single, multiple-choice or short answer question type from the drop-down menu:

If single or multiple-choice question types are selected, you can then between 2-10 options for the candidates to select from in the box below:

Step 6: Click Next:

Step 7: If you wish for this question to auto-reject candidates based on their responses (this is not applicable for a short answer question type), click the toggle to turn it on (green). For example, if you select ‘No’ as your desired outcome, candidates who answer as such will not be displayed in the portal but will be informed of this outcome via email:

You'll then get the option to select which answer/s you wish to reject responses for, select this from the drop-down menu.

Step 8: Select the email template you wish to send to rejected candidates from the drop-down menu:

If you'd like to view the email template automatically sent to rejected candidates, click the 👁️ icon. You can learn how to edit these templates HERE.

Are the current email templates not suitable for your newly created questions?

Select plan customers can now add additional email templates 🤩CLICK HERE to learn how.

Step 9: Click Save

These screening questions are now ready to be added to your jobs. To do so, simply head to jobs, click the three-dot icon and navigate to page 4.

From here, you can select up to 2 questions to add to your expression of interest form by clicking the drop-down menu:

Then click Next and Save and you're all done! 🎉

If you have any questions about your screening questions or anything else, please get in touch by clicking on the chat icon in the bottom right corner of your screen.
